Target’s Dave Chisnall suffered a narrow defeat to Lakeside World Champion Glen Durrant at the Grand Slam Of Darts, as the former finalist exited in the round of 16.

“Chizzy” hit five 180s and averaged in excess of 96, but was beaten 10-8, meaning Durrant goes through to the quarter-finals a Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Target’s Stephen Bunting also suffered disappointment in the knockout rounds, having topped his group, going down to world number two Peter Wright.

“The Bullet” also hit five maximums, but misfired on his doubles, as the UK Open Champion booked his place in the last eight with a 10-4 victory.

Thursday night sees the quarter-final draw completed with six-time winner Phil “The Power” Taylor taking on Darren Webster, and an all-Target clash between Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld.

The action will be screened live on Sky Sports and worldwide via the PDC’s broadcast partners.
