‘I’ve been playing darts for around 30 years now. It is strange that my journey is coming to an end, but I’m ready for it.’

– Phil Taylor

December 4, 2017 – Target are pleased to unveil, the Phil Taylor: Legacy, World Championship, Limited Edition. Phil Taylor’s dominance in the sport has been unlike any other sportsman in history. His persistence, his passion and his determination is something to be celebrated and never forgotten. 16 X World Champion – Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, brings the curtain down on his career, but his legacy will continue on forever.

‘It’s a look back at my entire journey, all my wins. I am absolutely chuffed to bits with it.’

-Phil Taylor

Phil asked Target to design this limited edition product to celebrate his last ever World Darts Championship. Target worked closely with Phil at every step, from product planning to design, production and marketing. This ensured every element of Legacy was personal to Phil’s specifications and authentic for his fans around the world. Limited to just 5,000 sets worldwide, each set has been personally signed by the 16 x World Champion himself.

‘We’ve sat down together, we’ve designed it and this is the one that is going to be released in December. It’s got signed certificate from me… It’s just beautiful’

-Phil Taylor

Machined from an ultra-dense 95% Tungsten billet, the front and middle of the barrel is coated in a stunning Blush Gold PVD Titanium Nitride coating, which beautifully contrasts with the hand sandblasted Black Titanium Nitride coating on the rear. Not only does this innovative technology look incredible, but it provides long lasting barrel protection, enhanced grip and creates a distinct matt texture.

Each barrel has been laser etched with Phil’s signature, and your darts numerical identity, this helps to ensure the authenticity of your set.  Finished with Phil’s distinct Titanium coated Black Diamond Pro point, Gen4 Blush Gold shaft, and Vapor S flights.

Every detail within Phil Taylor Legacy has been specifically calculated to make each set unique. Packaged in Target’s exceptionally designed presentation box, you will find an additional 3 sets of flights, in shapes NO2, NO6, and Kite. Each set of flights, feature the commemorative dates of Phil’s World Championship wins.  Complete with bespoke Legacy pin badge, Legacy portfolio, spare accessories and a numbered certificate of authenticity, which has been hand signed by the 16 times World Champion.

‘We are very honoured to be part of the journey leading up the Phil’s last World Championship, and to be releasing this product with Phil. From it’s incredible design, packaging and technology, to the wonderful added elements that make this set so special, we are confident that Legacy encapsulates Phil’s journey through the Worlds, and his impact on the darts industry as a whole’.

-Garry Plummer, Manageing Director of Target Darts
