Premier League Podcast: Rob 'Voltage' Cross

by Target Darts | Premier League Podcast

Target’s World Champion Rob Cross got his debut Premier League campaign off and running with an impressive win over world number two Peter Wright in Newcastle.

“Voltage” defied an average of 102 from the UK Open Champion, averaging 98.46 himself, as he won 7-4 to register his first points of the season in the third week at the Metro Radio Arena.

It still leaves Cross with work to do to climb the table and avoid elimination, after losing his opening two games, and next up is an all-Target clash with five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld.

“Barney” suffered his first defeat of the season in Newcastle, going down 7-4 to league leader Simon Whitlock – but will go up against Cross in the tournament’s first ever night in Berlin next week.

Cross v van Barneveld will take place at the Mercedes Benz Arena in front of 10,000 fans, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK – and worldwide via the PDC’s broadcast partners.
